Asia’s Journey to Santa Marta and Beyond: A Webinar Briefing on the Asia Network Campaign for the First Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels

Date: Feb 26, 2026, 2AM ET / 7 am UTC / 12:30 pm (India/ 12:45 pm (Nepal) / 3:00 pm (Philippines)

Colombia and the Netherlands will host the First Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels. The Conference is designed as a space for countries, subnational governments and other stakeholders that recognize the need to implement a transition away from fossil fuels in a just, orderly and equitable manner, in line with climate goals and the best available science.

Asia is a key region in the movement to transition away from fossil fuels. Timor Leste, Pakistan, and Cambodia have all agreed to participate in negotiations for a global framework to advance international cooperation and multilateralism for a Fossil Fuel Treaty. Now, we must mobilize the network to ensure that maximum engagement for our demands is achieved during the Conference.
