Standing Firm for Climate Action: Ending the Era of Fossil Fuels

  • Impact Hub 1 Triton Square London, England, NW1 3DS United Kingdom (map)

 📅 Thursday 26 June, 18:00–21:00 BST
📍
Impact Hub London Euston, 1 Triton Square, London NW1 3DS + livestreamed

Join Mete Coban, Deputy Mayor of London, Kumi Naidoo, President of the Fossil Fuel Treaty, and Caterina Sarfatti, Managing Director at C40 Cities, for an urgent conversation on how we stand strong for climate action in the face of a renewed offensive from the oil and gas industry.

With global temperatures now breaching the 1.5°C limit set by the Paris Agreement, the window to avoid the worst impacts of climate collapse is closing fast, putting at risk everything we love. But around the world, cities, communities and campaigns are rising to the challenge, driving the shift to a safer, fairer future - and refusing to let fossil fuel interests derail that progress.

Hosted by the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty and Impact Hub London as part of London Climate Action Week, this event is an opportunity to discuss bold plans, powerful alliances, and the growing global movement to phase out coal, oil and gas. We need to hold polluters to account and build a just, democratic transition that leaves no one behind. Together we’re building a lifeline.

The panel for the Standing Firm for Climate Action event includes:

  • Mete Coban, London Deputy Mayor for Energy and Environment

  • Kumi Naidoo, President of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative

  • Caterina Sarfatti, Managing Director for Inclusion and Global Leadership, C40 Cities

Join us for the discussion—and stay for the drinks' reception.
