Growing Momentum for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty

Climate change, like nuclear weapons, is a major global threat. Phasing out fossil fuel production, and fast-tracking progress towards safer and more cost-effective alternatives, will require unprecedented international cooperation. A Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty could be the big, bold idea we need to make this cooperation happen.

The campaign for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty was inspired by treaties that addressed the threats of nuclear weapons, landmines and other dangerous substances. Over the past year the campaign has been supported by 101 Nobel Laureates,3,000 academics, 320 parliamentarians, thousands of prominent youth leaders, a growing group of faith leaders and more than 1,500 civil society organizations.

Join us to hear our international panel of experts discuss opportunities for growing momentum for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty and how you can get involved to amplify and support the movement.
