THE TREATY YOUTH SPACE
The Fossil Fuel Treaty Youth Space is an online and open space led by young people, for young people, between 10 to 29 years old. The Youth Space aims to:
Connect young people campaigning for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty in their local/national context
We (young people) update each other on our local situation
We empower each other and give each other feedback and advice based on our own experiences (What works? What doesn’t? What story do we tell from our young person's point of view? e.t.c)
We invite new people to the space to encourage them to become active
Exchange and discuss strategies and play an active role in the strategy development of the Fossil Fuel Treaty campaign
Plan international communications to help build up the campaign (write articles, create content, outreach to other young people etc.)
Define our connection and interconnectedness with the broader governance structure of the Treaty Initiative, facilitated through two rotating youth places on the Steering Committee and engagement in other Working Groups
