Introduction to the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative in Malawi

Come join us next week with ISONECC Civil Society Network on Climate Change Malawi, Coordination Union for Rehabilitation of Environment (CURE Malawi), Trócaire, and the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative for a deep dive into the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative — a big, bold proposal for a fair & financed transition from fossil fuel dependency to a justice-based renewable future 🌍☀️✊🏾

Across Malawi we are grappling with low energy access, while facing the wreckage of a fossil fuelled climate crisis that we did not cause. Cyclones, floods, droughts — enough is enough. The Fossil Fuel Treaty calls to hold the fossil fuel industry accountable — ending the expansion of coal, oil and gas and facilitating a fair and funded transition to a prosperous renewable future that can provide energy access for all. Global momentum for a Fossil Fuel Treaty is growing everyday, with support from over a million people, thousands of organisations, hundreds of cities and subnational governments (including Lilongwe and Mzuzu), and 16 nation-states. It’s time for Malawi to join too! 🌱

Come join us on May 13 to learn more about the campaign and hear from voices across Malawi and Africa so we can build our collective power for a just transition together. Register now!
