Join us on 27 May 2024 at the United Nations 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States in Antigua and Barbuda for a timely facilitated discussion on the financing needs for a just transition from fossil fuels. This event, located inside the Conference Venue in Room 5, will bring together finance experts, government officials, and experts from the Fossil Fuel Treaty Initiative to delve into the needs, challenges and opportunities for SIDS to realize their transition aspirations and discuss the principles that should underpin the proposed Treaty. It is hoped that key demands will be included in the main SIDS4 outcome document for the next 10 years: the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS) - an action-oriented, forward looking and ambitious document that contains the SIDS vision and path towards a sustainable, prosperous and fossil-fuel free future.
The event features a keynote address from:
Hon. Sir Molwyn Joseph, Minister of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation and the Environment, Government of Antigua and Barbuda
There will be a panel discussion, followed by a Q&A featuring:
Racquel Moses, CEO, Caribbean Climate Smart Accelerator.
